12th Act of Self-Love: Practice Forgiving Past Relationships
If you are holding on to any emotional baggage or negative energy from past relationships, it’s preventing you from truly healing and moving on.
You are personally responsible for the type of energy you create. It’s time to forgive and release relationships from the past that were toxic. This allows you to enter a new relationship from a clean place so that you don’t carry past wounds into it.
Take time to clear your heart and head of unhealthy memories from the past. Commit to emotionally and mentally unloading by writing down the negative thoughts that trigger a negative feeling. When you get it out, it makes it a little easier to let it go.
Instead of focusing on the past, use that opportunity to gain clarity on what it is you DO want to experience in your next relationship.
There’s is more to this process of forgiving the past but this first step is a start.
