How do you connect with yourself so you can navigate YOUR inner world amidst all that’s happening? Which is only one aspect of life. Then there’s dealing with others and the shit that goes on in life.
This is a question I ask myself when I’m flooded with emotion about something I can’t seem to handle at the time. I’ll have moments when, I’m like Yo! this thing called life can really rock you to your core.
Personally for me some of those moments showed up in relationships especially when my marriage didn’t work out as expected, being a mother (you already know why) my transition from a 9-5 and so many more scary moments in life. I know you get what I’m saying.
Through it all though; not even realizing it I was developing an emotional resilience. The time in between when a situation occurred to when I got through it became shorter & shorter. I’ve been able to get to a space where I can recover emotionally and not allow my circumstances to make me a victim. I’ve figured how to shift my thoughts, emotions and behavior to serve me, maintain a positive & conscious mindset regardless of external circumstances and align myself spiritually. From that process, I know how to cultivate a peace of mind; which helps with stress and anxiety.
Imagine being able to remain calm and in control of yourself and your mind, even in the midst of problems and difficult situations. This is a life skill you can definitely develop to help you get unstuck and move past challenges and it starts with creating a deeper relationship with yourself.
That’s what I know how to do without a doubt and that’s how I show up for myself and what I teach my clients to do for themselves.
